About

Our Story

Founded in 2002, VVS Handlooms is a family-led textile legacy built on craftsmanship, heritage, and enduring quality. The name VVS is derived from the initials of three siblings — our founder’s children — symbolizing unity, continuity, and a shared passion for fine textiles passed through generations.

Our journey began with curated collections showcased at exhibitions, where our founder personally introduced thoughtfully crafted textiles to discerning audiences. What started as a small showcase soon evolved into a trusted B2B wholesale house, known for consistency, craftsmanship, and relationships built on trust.

Over the years, VVS Handlooms has specialized in Ikkat cotton fabric manufacturing, while expanding its portfolio to include sarees, silk fabrics, dupattas, bedsheets, and a wide range of handloom textiles. Every piece we create reflects an unwavering commitment to quality and detail — a
balance of traditional artistry and modern sensibilities.

In 2020, during the global pause of the pandemic, Ikkathav was conceived as a creative extension of this legacy — an idea born from reflection and passion. What began as an intimate, personal project soon found its purpose as a retail and online expression of VVS Handlooms, created to bring our textile heritage directly to individual customers.

Now led by the next generation, Ikkathav represents our graceful step into the retail space — where classic craftsmanship meets contemporary design. Every collection is thoughtfully curated to reflect who we are at heart: timeless, elegant, and authentic.

Together, VVS Handlooms and Ikkathav tell a story shaped by time — a story of trust built stitch by stitch, of legacy reimagined for the modern world.
